Gutenberg Project
You’ll learn about about the Gutenberg Project for the first time now that your latest WordPress version, 4.9.8, includes a “Try Gutenberg” prompt in the admin. But Gutenberg is more than an editor. While the editor is the focus right now, the project will ultimately impact the entire publishing experience including customisation.
The video explains how we will use Gutenberg.
The first stage will arrive in WordPress 5.0, and focus on a content-first approach. The use of blocks, as detailed above, allows you to focus on how your content will look without the distraction of other configuration options. It’s a learning process. I’ll be adding my experiences and solutions with screenshots all through August.
